So this reminds me, that since I turned in my application for Costa Rica, I intend to get an audio Spanish set and relearn Spanish over the summer. That way, I'll understand enough to hear it spoken in its native tongue. Then I will become fluent and dream in Spanish.
It makes you wonder about language and its association to the things they represent. (for the past two weeks, in two of my classes, we've been discussing language and the relationship the signified has to the signifier, whether or not words are naturally related to the things they represent or not...the whole subject makes my mind go in circles really).
I would also really love to learn French.
